One Crazy Month

The past month as been a little bit nuts.  We bought a house, moved in, had Rylo's one year birthday party, celebrated our two year anniversary, had a merry Christmas, and we are trying very hard to make out house look like people live here, not boxes. It's been really crazy and really, really fun.

We moved to South Jordan the day after Thanksgiving and it has been so amazing to have our own place. I LOVE it! We moved in with my parents when Billy deployed so I wouldn't be alone with a brand new baby. We moved in two days before Christmas last year so we made it under the year that we were planning. Go us! I'll post some pictures some day. I actually haven't taken yet but it's on the 'to do' list.

So Rylo is one. I just can't really believe it. I'm so grateful that the Lord decided to surprise us with her. We couldn't be more blessed.

I took her for her one year check up and got her stats and some instructions. She is 30 lbs and 32 inches which basically means she's huge. Her doctor told us to eat lots and lots of veggies, only skim milk, and start exercising. How do I get a 1yr old to exercise?? She's crawling everywhere and she's starting to cruise around the furniture. I'm really hoping that she is walking by our 15 month check up and that she slows down in weight gain. As for the eating. Does anyone have any good strategies to get your kid to eat veggies? Or any good healthy recipes they would like to share? I try every meal to get her to eat them and she is not interested. I guess I'll just keep on keepin' on.

Billy and I had our two year anniversary on the 17th and we even got to go on a date. Without the kid. Which was SO nice. We are very blessed with lots of family that will watch Rylo. I feel full of gratitude for all that the Lord has given me. I love my family so much and I can't wait to see how we grow!
